Seriously Serious About Friendships
To begin with, I am sure I am not your ordinary kind of a guy, and I don`t mind. I love people and enjoy a plethora of activities with people, and yet I tend to be a loner, a very private person who is sure of what he wants out of life without total dependence on another. No, I have never been a conformist.
While I carry an advanced degree, I like to think I have not lost the common touch; I feel everyone deserves some level of respect within his or her own right. While I enjoy dancing, I am not into the bar scene, especially with all the smoke. It would be nice to meet someone with whom to go out with now and then. Also, I love botanicals, travel, the arts, the theatre, the news as presented on "Morning Edition" and "All Things Consider", cooking and entertaining, etc. While I seem to live conservatively, I am really a moderate at heart.
Suffice it say, I do not expect all of my friends to be just like me. For one thing,they are more likely to be of European decent (but hopefully respectful of a fellow of color). And oh, do I get excited about people who make me smile, or, better yet, people who cause me to enjoy a good laugh (yes, they are the best); but let`s not forget the more serious-minded and communicative thinker who is just as much a definite attraction for me.
And now, rather than be saying more, lets try and chat soon. If you find me of interest thusfar, then I suspect we have so much more to learn about EACH other, and I am looking forward to that. By the way, I hope you like yourself as well as I like me.
