General Description

I grew up on a small farm in rural New Mexico and everything about that experience remains part of me, right down into my DNA, even though I may have lived in other settings since that time. I learned to ride, build fence, irrigate the land, plow a field and haul hay and can tell you just in how many surprising places you can find flakes of alfalfa on your body after bucking bales all day long. The rhythms of nature are in my blood, I enjoy working with animals and appreciate growing things, respect what is needed to take care of the resources they need to flourish. Yeah, I may live in the city but my heart still runs in wild places. I am masculine, love being physical, mean what I say and say what I mean, am loyal to friend and lover, am romantic by nature in a relationship and have a protective streak. I am healthy, HIV -, have no substance issues and exercise regularly. There's something of the poet in me and alongside it there's a certain gentleness and a good sense of humor leavened with a little mischieviousness that trots out to play here and there - be warned (smile). I'm honest but also tactful, and know that timing sometimes plays a role in that, too. I screw up sometimes but am pretty good at taking responsibility and making it right. I've seen some difficult days, faced a few challenges and am not easily daunted - a man can do only his best, the rest gets done by being resourceful and by seeing it through. I've done a few things right and a few things wrong, but have learned from both and have managed to bring something positive forward from them, too. I have decent analytical skills but at the end of the day, my heart leads the way. I am comfortable in my skin and am looking for another man who might say the same. A man who's confident of himself, who's faced a difficult day or two and has found his way forward, who takes responsibiliy for himself and knows and has what it takes to find and maintain trust, strength and intimacy with another man.
