I traveled to Mexico for the first time in 1993. I met several gay Mexican men who opened their hearts and culture to me. Hector, who I was dating taught me that family and friends are everything to the Latino people. I believe that once you have visited Mexico, you are never the same. Mexican people are the most passionate people I have met and I returned to Canada knowing one day I would live in Mexico and find a long term relationship with that one special guy.
